Martha's Bearly Bloom'n Flower Shop

All the menfolk of Boyds Town know just where ta go when they're in the doghouse with the ladies. No, not the jewelry store (that's reserved for Emergency Situations). We're talkin' about the Bearly Bloom'n Flower Shop, filled with hundreds of varieties of sweet-smellin' posies - everything from pansies to pastel petunias. What started out as a small glass greenhouse (made of clear resin!) has turned into a grand showroom complete with thatched and slate tile roof, window boxes filled with flowers, a porch where Head Florist Martha pots her favorite posies and takes her breaks, a side terrace with cafe table for leisurely lunches, and a luvely "pewter" shop sign - hand-painted by Martha herself! The Flower Shop grounds are so pretty that couples often come to sit on the Park Bench and watch as the Butterflies flutter by and Chickadees take a splash in the birdbath out back. The perfect spot to pop the question or say, "I do." Even Alphonse's been bitten by the Luv Bug and bought a bunch of posies for his Sweetie!

The Roxbeary Theater

When the folks in Boyds Town need a great escape, they make a date for dinner and a movie at The Roxbeary Theater, an old-fashioned movie house with a tile roof; front fatade, marquee, and movie placards; exterior staircases leadin' to the balcony; and a special back entrance for movie stars. (The Folks at Boyds actually modeled The Roxbeary after an historic Hanover movie theater not far from Boyds Beanquarters near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania!). Tonight's feature stars The Three Bears in "Someone's in My Bed!" and it's rumored that "Shakes Bear in Love" is premierin' right in little ol' Boyds Town (time to roll out the Red Carpet!). The kiddies luv to come for the Saturday matinees, complete with cartoon shorts, ol' time Westerns, and brave super-heroes, like Bat Bear! (Susie and Alphonse spent their last nickel on popcorn and are tryin' ta sneak in the back for a freebee!). But the best part about The Roxbeary is that you don't have to float a loan, or empty the ATM machine just to watch a movie. Prices are strictly "Boyds Town," thank Heavens! There ain't a lotta rules at The Roxbeary, either. Just shhhh! when the lights go down, no throwing Ju Ju Bees, and no VIP Passes for those extra exclusive engagements!

Mr. Pennypincher's Collectibles Shoppe

Yer certain to find a treasure or two at Mr. Pennypincher's Collectibles Shoppe, an antiques and collectibles store owned by Mr. Pennypincher, the Boyds Town appraiser and auctioneer. Over the years, he's gathered quite an assortment of keepsakes-from old Washbear guitars, luggage, and bicycles to estate jewelry, silverware...and even a kitchen sink or two! Folks are always snoopin' in his storefront window (made of clear resin!) to see his ever-changin' display. And the line starts formin' in the wee hours of the morn' when a new shipment of Boyds Bears arrives (a town favorite!). One bear's junque is another bear's treasure in Boyds Town...and Mr. Pennypincher has taught folks a valuable lesson: Don't trash it, Cash it! Mr. Pennypincher sells stuff the ol' fashioned way-cash only-and absotootly no layaways...this stuff's been sittin' around long enough! Bailey stopped by to check out the Vintage Clothes and found a rare china vase too good to pass up (so what if it's gotta chip..or two...with a little paint and glue, she'll get it lookin' good as new!). Alphonse bought a box of junque for a buck - he's siftin' through the baubles and beads in search of a priceless Bear Ruth baseball card!

Wee Bear Daycare Center

If ya hear the sound of children gigglin', go up the hill and you'll find the Wee Bear Daycare Center, a home away from home for bear cubs durin' the work day! Head teacher Mrs. Rogers designed the daycare to look like a storybook cottage complete with slate tile and thatched roof and even hand-painted letters of the alphabet and colorful fruits on the siding! Bloomin' roses climb up the doorway (thornless of course-don't wanna hurt the kiddies), flowers are burstin' from the window boxes, and Mrs. Rogers even installed spring animals in the back (really rock back and forth!). Cubs have the most fun on the slippy slide-Susie, day care assistant, is out back givin' it a test-ride. It's almost nap time...Mrs. Rogers is up in the readin' room...nuthin' like a good book to lull her little charges to sleep!
